Cultivate an Attitude of Gratitude
So, this entry is two months late in coming from when I first wanted to write about it. In October, I went up to the Home Plate Diner in Orderville, a little town north of Kanab. Jon and I went with some friends from work, to hear other friends from work sing and play music. As I sat in the diner with a full belly and surrounded by happy people, I realized how lucky I was and felt very grateful for that particular evening. I left that evening feeling very full, as well as fullfilled. It was a pretty small event, but one that left me with a lot of good feelings, which I have been careful to hang on to, and duplicate that feeling of gratitude and joy everyday. My friend Ann sums it up best - her blog is titled my blessed life. That's exactly how I feel!

Here is the cartoon for which my blog is named:
I love cartoons, just like my dad. Although, I must admit, he probably thinks Ren & Stimpy are just stupid. Which is COMPLETELY unlike any of the olden days Bugs Bunny or Foghorn Leghorn cartoons. Those cartoons had some class, they were not simply silly, animated characters pulling hilarious pranks on one another-- oh, wait, yes they were. And for those of you wondering about the species of this cartoon's characters - well, you'll just have to wonder, cause if you don't know, I'm not going to tell you. Nyahh!

First post, yay!
Well, I broke down and did it and got a blog. Woo-hoo. You know, I never was very good at journaling, so I'm not sure if I'll be anymore consistent at blogging, but I guess we'll see. I just have such fun reading some of my friend's blogs, I wanted in on the action. Also, want to show off some of my nifty photos. Like this buck, who came in to my back yard last Saturday while I was talking to my mom on the phone.
This guy and his buddy are enjoying the plethora of apples from our four apple trees. I have so far seen these two twice, as well as a doe and three young'uns. Seriously, I have enough apples to feed a large army. Of deer. A large army of deer. Wouldn't that be funny? Do you think THEY'D wear hunter orange?
